Raffinee: An Elegant and Functional Holding Box

The inspiration behind the Raffinee holding box was to create a holder that is completely different from any other chocolate product. The designers wanted to make the Raffinee pieces easily accessible for consumers and encourage them to indulge in one after the other.

What sets this packaging design apart is its versatility. The packaging is not just a box but also functions as a gift box. The interior of the box features lines that drop inward and narrow down, forming a serving cup or chalice. The parchment paper bag that holds the delicious dragees is placed inside this narrowing form. When the bag is opened and folded out onto the sides of the box, it transforms into an aesthetic serving bowl.

The Raffinee holding box is made using high-quality materials and advanced printing techniques. It is crafted from 250 g Alaska GC 2 cardboard, which is 0.372 mm thick. The box is printed with food-grade ink and coated with a high gloss food-grade varnish. The printing procedure involves curved offset, and the surface is treated with a matt film. The box is further enhanced with gold embossing and 3D relief, adding a touch of elegance.

The dimensions of the holding box are 100 mm x 100 mm x 79 mm, while the cover measures 104 mm x 104 mm x 48 mm. These specifications ensure that the Raffinee pieces are securely and beautifully presented.

By removing the cover of the Raffinee holding box, consumers are greeted with a parchment paper bag holding the delectable dragees. After opening the bag and folding it to the sides of the box, it transforms into a chalice-like serving bowl, allowing for easy and elegant serving of the Raffinee pieces.

The Raffinee holding box was conceptualized in January 2013, and the three-member design team worked diligently to bring the project to life. The final design was completed in July 2013, showcasing the team's dedication and creativity.

This exceptional packaging design has been recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in 2014. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The Raffinee holding box is respected for its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings to consumers.
